Gregory J Fermann, MD

Dr Fermann graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Saint Louis University in 1988 and received his MD at the University of Cincinnati in 1992. He then completed his training in Emergency Medicine at the Maricopa Integrated Program in Emergency Medicine, Phoenix, Arizona where he served as chief resident in 1995-1996.
Upon graduation Dr Fermann returned home to Cincinnati where he worked at Good Samaritan Hospital, Anderson and Clermont Mercy Hospitals. He joined Vanguard Medical in 1997 and worked at Jewish Hospital until 1999.
Dr Fermann served as the Director of Clinical Operations for the University Hospital Center for Emergency Care from 1999 to 2005. He has served as the Director of Emergency Medicine at The Christ Hospital since 2005.
His interests include research in cardiovascular diagnostics. He has lead research teams in the evaluation of point-of-care cardiac markers and body surface mapping devices. Dr Fermann also has expertise in operations research and the impact federal quality standards on emergency medical care.
