Dr. Richard Levy is Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Founding Chairman of the University of Cincinnati Department of Emergency Medicine. He relinquished that Chair in 1995 but maintains a strong association with the Department as a senior advisor for academic and administrative affairs.
Dr. Levy was an early participant in the development of Emergency Medicine as a specialty. He served in several leadership roles and was involved in a number of national initiatives. He has been a frequent contributor to the literature and is well known for his advocacy of Emergency Medicine as an academic discipline.
In addition to his University duties, Dr. Levy is active in a variety of civic and business interests. When he isn’t working, he can usually be found in the mountains, by the seashore or with a golf club in his hands |
