Arthur M Pancioli, MD

Dr. Pancioli completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan in 1987, receiving a degree in computer science. He continued at the University of Michigan, receiving his MD in 1991. He attended the residency program at the University of Cincinnati where he served as Chief Resident during his last year, graduating in 1995.
Dr. Pancioli joined the faculty as the Associate Residency Director and Assistant Professor. He subsequently assumed the role of Vice-Chairman in 2000. Dr. Pancioli’s primary research is in the arena of acute ischemic stroke therapy. He is currently the Principal Investigator on a multi-center NIH-funded clinical trial of the combination of t-PA and eptifibatide for acute ischemic stroke therapy. Dr. Pancioli has been a member of the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Stroke Team since 1995. He is currently on the National Executive Committee for the America Stroke Association and is the Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the local affiliate for the American Heart Association.
In addition to his duties within the Emergency Department, Dr. Pancioli is a member of the medical school Financial Aid Committee, the Hospital Credentialing Committee, and the Neuroscience Service Line Advisory Committee. |
